Level 4 Help - Site Checkers
Responsibilities
To check for permissions and recheck entire site for warez, basically the same thing we do in pub-play
This is our initiation process and a chance for you to see exactly what goes on in the channel
Also it gives us a chance to see what your capabilities are and where you will fit best into the team
If you have already been doing this in pub-play then you will be fine
Again I cannot stress enough
When you are in pub-play, make sure that *everyone*
is checking sites for perms and commenting them properly
This will make less work for you in pc-fxp
Dont hammer them...teach and remind

For the most part we do not care to use UNIX servers
as you should already know you cannot protect anything on them
therefore if you find UNIX servers, check them for perms
then -swapback to the cracklist or -del
There is nfo below about checking UNIX pubs and we will use the "right" ones
Watch the login message as you login to see the server type
If you miss or forget you can Ctrl+R type syst, hit enter
you will see the server type in the message window
a custom command keyboard shortcut works to

Naturally if you find worthy stuff on any of the sites you check
feel free to redo, comment & swap to one of the warez lists
We do not want pubs that are in use
It only starts pub wars in which no one wins

How to check for mkd, write & read perms

NT4 & NT5 Permissions

NT pubs you will normally either have permissions, or not
You must be able to make a dir *and* see the dir
Some NT like UNIX will let you mkd but, it is invisible
Those are no good -del

Make Directory
there are some that do not allow mkd in the root
but will allow it anywhere else
so it may be necessary for you to enter other dirs and try
I always try to make a hidden / / or /. / dir in the root
But you can just make an anything dir
It is as simple as hitting Ctrl+R and type mkd / / then hit enter
NOTE: Do Not use a keyboard shortcut for your custom mkd / / command
and do not use insert key, *always* do it manually

Watch the message window
If you see "Directory Created" refresh & make sure you can see it
If you can good, go inside it

Testing Upload / Download / Delete
Now inside your dir try to upload a tiny file
an sfv renamed or any 50kb text file for this works great even on dialup
If it uploads confirm its the right size
Next you need try and dload this same file
make sure you del the file you have or change your local browser
If the file downloads great, now delete it off the pub
If all of these commands are successful
Get Ready to -swap2tag that bad boy pub
But not yet

Passive / Non Passive
Use Pub View and login to see if you get a dir list
If you do the site is Passive (Pasv)
Non Passive (NPasv) make for good dumps
seeing as you have to crack it manually
please take this extra step
with enough Npasv sites we can do some Team Dumps hello

Commenting
If the site has all the perms for Mkd / Up / Down
It wouldnt be getting swapped to the elist right ?
so there is no need to mention that in the comment
The permissions we need to know are
Passive / Non Passive
Deletable / Non Deletable

The acronyms are as follows

Passive Pasv
Non Passive NPasv
Deletable Del
Non Deletable NDel

Please use this format for all comments
-comment <site#> server type / perms / your nick
Examples: -comment 6666 NT? / Pasv / Del / 50kb / ModCoz
-comment 6666 Unix / Pasv / NDel / ModCoz
BTW if you were able to test dload speed on a 1mb or bigger file
You can add that in the comment in front of your nick
But it is not vital

UNIX Permissions

As you should know from crackin there are many flavors of UNIX
There are generally more discreet permissions on them
so it is important to dig around a bit
Move into all different dirs and try to make more
At minimum...test mkd in any /pub/ or /incoming/ dirs
If they are invisible -del the site
Just remember most of all UNIX can be weird
even if you cant make a dir but you can up/down in a main dir (eg. /pub/ )
*and* its non deletable we will use it
We can throw those on the public list

Level 4 commands

commands

Usage

-play

Works the same as -rand, will show 4 sites that need to be rechecked for content and perms
-del  Deletes the site from the list altogether
-drop  Drops the site back to the -elist or from your -taken
-comment  This allows you to comment  -comment <site#> server type / perms / your nick

-swap2tag

Swaps the site to the tag list to *be* tagged
-redo  Allows changes in path
-swapback  Sends back to the crack list
-swap  Sends to public list
-swapgood  Sends to Supreme list
-show  Shows Site info

you can redo, comment, and swap from pc-fxp no need to go into pub-play

Go into pc-bleh to verify it was added to a warez list and credited to you

Thats basically it
If you have any comments suggestions direct them to socket
